Marianne has over 25 years’ experience in the Health and Social Care sector starting out asa care assistant to managingan Assistive Technology Service providing 24-hourinstallation, monitoring, maintenance and response to keep people safer in their homes for longer.Marianne has a passion for improving lives with technology and has worked for over a decade on several national digital transformation programmes in the NHS optimising the use of digital technology, research and innovation to improve the health of patients and reduce health inequalities as both a Project Manager and Delivery Manager.
As a HR Professional she has a MSC In Health and Social Care Management with a special interest in Employee Engagement and has led Early Careers programmes developing talent in graduates, apprentices, interns and placement students. During the pandemic she implemented a Health and Wellbeing Strategy to support the Mental Health of employees in a large NHS organisation.Implementing a wide range of initiatives including support for those experiencing domestic abuse, a Men’s Health Network and leading a Mental Health First Aider Network.
Marianne is keen to be involved in her local areaand has been actively involved in Local and National Elections as a Presiding Officer for many years across Yorkshire and has volunteered as an Independent Visitor for Children in looked after care for several years. As a Board Member Marianne is looking forward to bringing a collaborative and strategic approach to decision-making to deliver outstanding care services for service users, families and employees.
