Red House
Red House is a 48-bed care home divided into two 24-bed communities, offering specialised dementia care and physical support to older adults. Nestled in the charming seaside town of Bridlington, we enjoy proximity to local amenities and beautiful views of the beachfront and Flamborough Head.
Our single-storey building features hairdressing facilities, designated activity areas, and serene internal courtyards and gardens, providing ideal spaces for relaxation and gardening hobbies. A resident favourite is the Red House Arms, our very own in-house pub that also facilitates a diverse array of pub-themed activities and events, including royal celebrations, race afternoons, and games like dominoes and darts.
With two dedicated activity coordinators, we ensure a vibrant schedule of activities is available seven days a week.
We are delighted to announce that in 2024 Red House received the Gold Standard Award for End Of Life care. This prestigious award recognises health and social care providers who deliver exceptional care during the final year of life. To qualify for this award, we demonstrated compliance with strict criteria in 20 different areas, from leadership and support to dignity and respect, while submitting a comprehensive portfolio of evidence.
A Message from Our Manager – Leah Davies:
“The staff team at Red House undergo extensive training to meet all service users’ needs, ensuring that care is person-centred and tailored to each individual. We have dementia champions and designated experts in areas such as food services, medication, safeguarding, mental capacity, and end-of-life care, providing residents with knowledgeable support.
We also recognise that families may need support, which is why we offer friend and family get-togethers to foster connections and understanding. At Red House, we actively promote a friendly, family atmosphere, guided by the ethos of ‘the mum’s test.’ If our service isn’t good enough for our mums, it isn’t good enough for those we support.”
