Red House

Red House is a warm and welcoming 48-bed care home, thoughtfully designed into two 24-bed communities that provide specialised dementia care and physical support for older adults. Nestled in the delightful seaside town of Bridlington, our residents enjoy both the charm of local amenities and stunning views of the beachfront and Flamborough Head.

We’re delighted to share that Red House has recently undergone refurbishments, giving our home a fresh, modern feel while maintaining the cosy, homely atmosphere our residents love. Our updated spaces have been carefully designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, and social living—creating the perfect environment for both relaxation and activity.

Our single-storey home now features bright and airy communal areas, a hairdressing salon, designated activity spaces, and peaceful internal courtyards and gardens—perfect for enjoying a quiet moment or pursuing gardening hobbies. A resident favourite is still the Red House Arms, our very own in-house pub, which continues to be the hub of our social calendar. From royal celebrations and race afternoons to games of dominoes and darts, it’s a place full of laughter and community spirit.

Life at Red House is all about engagement and enjoyment. With two dedicated activity coordinators, we ensure there’s always something happening—seven days a week—from creative workshops and themed events to day trips and group activities tailored to our residents’ interests.

In 2024, we were proudly awarded the Gold Standard Award for End of Life Care, a prestigious recognition of our commitment to delivering exceptional, compassionate care during life’s most delicate stages. Achieving this award means we met rigorous standards across 20 different areas, from leadership and support to dignity and respect.

We are also honoured to be part of the Veterans Friendly Network, offering a supportive environment where those who have served in the Armed Forces are recognised and valued within our community.

At Red House, every day is about living life to the fullest.

A Message from Our Manager – Leah Davies:

The staff team at Red House undergo extensive training to meet all service users’ needs, ensuring that care is person-centred and tailored to each individual. We have dementia champions and designated experts in areas such as food services, medication, safeguarding, mental capacity, and end-of-life care, providing residents with knowledgeable support.

We also recognise that families may need support, which is why we offer friend and family get-togethers to foster connections and understanding. At Red House, we actively promote a friendly, family atmosphere, guided by the ethos of ‘the mum’s test.’ If our service isn’t good enough for our mums, it isn’t good enough for those we support.
