Celebrations as Orchard Park AFC Achieve Promotion!

We are thrilled to announce that Orchard Park AFC U13’s  has achieved promotion to Group 4 at the end of the 2023/24 season, narrowly missing out on the title by just one point. This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team, and we at HICA are proud to have played a part in their journey.

 

Orchard Park AFC was established in 2022 to provide children in the Orchard Park area the opportunity to play grassroots football and engage in the sport they love. From the beginning, HICA supported the Under 12’s team by becoming their main kit sponsor, enabling the team to purchase full training and match kits, along with essential training equipment.

 

In their first season, the team narrowly missed out on promotion by just one point—a remarkable achievement for a newly formed team of children experiencing grassroots football for the first time. Seeing the team’s potential and the positive impact on the community, HICA decided to extend our support for the next two seasons, 2023/24 and 2024/25. This continued sponsorship was crucial as the club transitioned from 9-a-side to 11-a-side football, necessitating additional equipment.

 

Orchard Park AFC’s Coach, Carl Dixon, HR Business Partner at the HICA Group said “With Orchard Park being a newly formed grassroots football team, support from local businesses like HICA is the lifeline for our club. The sponsorship we have received over the last few years has been fantastic. It has allowed us to fund equipment, football/training kits, and courses essential for running a grassroots team. This support has given us more time to focus on the development of the team, resulting in our promotion in just our second season. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to HICA for their support.”
