Hica donate to local community Cafe

Gym sm.jpg  A new community café, set up by and located in a local gym, has opened its doors for the first time  with help form the Hica Group who donated a variety of kitchen equipment.. The Café is the brainchild of Steve Pollard and is located at the Kinston Community Gym, on Hessle High Road in Hull. Mr Pollard said, “The aim of the cafe is to help combat help combat the risk of social exclusion of people over 55 by becoming a hub for people to get together and socialise.” To help realise his dream Mr Pollard enlisted the help from local ‘kickstarter’ charity Hull 2020, where Hica became aware of what was needed. Hica donated a variety of equipment including crockery and utensils.

 Penni Brown, CEO of the Hica Group said, “. As a company who prides themselves on making a difference, we were proud to played a part in getting this cafe launched. We wish the Community Café every success.”

 The club, which will also feature bingo and entertainment and is open for over 55s on Mondays and Fridays from 1-4pm.
