Knit & Natter
At Elm Tree Court residents have been enjoying their regular Knit and Natter club, the club meets in their newly created tearoom. With many skilled knitters among the residents, they are never short of ideas to create. This time they are all creating colourful knitted squares to turn into beautiful bunting ready to decorate their home for summer.
The Tea Room was created during lockdown. When residents said that they missed going to the local café, staff decided to create their own in-house café and Willows Tea Room was born. It was decorated in a style that was relaxing and inviting and new furniture was bought so that it resembles a traditional tearoom. The Tea Room is used daily for resident to have a natter over tea and scones and every week there is a reading group and knitting club held in there.
