The Court win In Bloom Award

court-2.jpgResidents of The Court were surprised recently when Director of Operations presented them with a Judge's Special Mention Award for their horticultural entry in the Hica in Bloom competition. Unable to attend the organisation's annual Ball held at Hull they had no idea they had been specially selected for one of the awards. The Judge's Special Mention awards were added to the other awards after the Judges were bowled over by the high level of entries in this year's competition. A spokesperson for the Shine Forum said, "We originally had only planned on giving out three awards but after seeing all the gardens we felt like we would like to create our special awards, awards that celebrated parts of the entries that perhaps didn't fit in with the categories.

FullSizeRender-xx-300x300.jpgThe Court, like the other Special Mention award winners, had done a wonderful job in rejuvenating an outside place that, as well as being created with a great horticultural technical know-how FullSizeRender xxbut also benefited everyone who lives and works at Buckshaw Retirement Village as it is accessible to all and a thoroughly nice place to sit and admire their handiwork."

Hi8ca in Bloom will be launched again early in 2016.
